Plague doctor actor set for London Dungeon

A live actor made up as a medieval plague doctor is set to be added to the London Dungeon this year.

The character, featuring the distinctive beaked mask, will reportedly walk around the attraction in search of potential ‘patients’.

The Plague Doctor, which will offer treatments such as eating dried toad or taking a bath in vinegar and rosewater, will feature at the Dungeon from 11 February.

A doctor’s surgery featuring barbaric operations on plague victims has been a scene at the various Dungeon attractions for several years.
