Fantasy Island will unveil a new scare ride under the name of The Asylum next year.
Promotional posters have started to appear across the Lincolnshire amusement park.
The attraction is understood to be a re-theme of the Toucan Tours dark ride, which is a based around a monorail system installed within the park’s pyramid structure.
The ride in its current form has been in place since the park’s its opening year in 1995.
It presently operates with two vehicles that can seat four people each, giving low throughput – it is not yet clear if this will be increased.
Earlier this year, Fantasy Island had planning permission accepted on a new water attraction called Splash Zone, which will also open next year.
