The public opening date for Thorpe Park’s Hyperia rollercoaster is expected to be 24 March next year, after the park put tickets on sale.
Although Thorpe Park has not officially confirmed Hyperia’s opening date, tickets for the date are now on sale at £39 per person.
With 24 March 2024 being a Sunday, the preceding Saturday could see preview events for invited media and others.
Winners of the Club 236 competition are expected to be notified in early December, receiving access to the first public rides.
Following considerable delays with Hyperia’s planning application, the construction schedule is now understood to be back on target.
The 236-foot Mack Rides rollercoaster will see a new UK height record, while it is also expected to be the fastest such British ride.
