Hyperia – Thorpe Park’s 2024 rollercoaster – has had the first of its supports installed at the Surrey theme park.
Scheduled to opening in spring next year, the 236-foot Mack Rides-built rollercoaster’s track is partially gold in colour.
When open, it will be the tallest rollercoaster in the United Kingdom, and is also expected to break the current 80 mph UK speed record.
Hyperia will be the latest example of Mack’s Hyper Coaster design, whose trains can be fitted with on board lighting and sound effects.
