The Megafobia rollercoaster reopened at Oakwood on Monday following months of re-tracking work.
The wooden ride, opened first in 1996, has received extensive reprofiling and rebuilding by the Gravity Group.
A preview evening was held at the Welsh theme park for media and annual pass holders last week.
Yesterday, Megafobia opened to the public for the first time this year. Oakwood said it was “thrilled” to have the ride back open to all guests.
The ride’s first drop has been made steeper as part of the US$2 million works, as described in a blog post published in January.
Work has been delayed by about two months, with the scheduled completion date originally being in May.
Prefabricated track sections were assembled in the United States last September, with some parts of the old track auctioned off for charity.
