Thorpe Park names Ghost Train opening date

Derren Brown's Ghost Train1

Thorpe Park has announced that its new attraction – Derren Brown’s Ghost Train – will open on 6 May.

A preview event for annual pass holders will be held a day prior, the Surrey theme park has said.

The opening date is seen as a move away from the conventional strategy of having major new attractions open for the first day of the park’s mains season.

Illusionist Brown has said that he has been working with Thorpe Park for several years on the attraction, which will feature a Victorian-style railway carriage suspended by chains as its centrepiece.

The illusion is just mirrors, up to 2m wide under tracks and up to 8m high up and along the initial maze walls.
